As a reiki master I have run into situations whereby the teacher purchases books and teaches from books leaving the students feeling frustrated and totally out of sync. In working with these individuals it amazes me to see how together they are now.
I was taught hands on by a traditional reiki master and have adapted my classes to include the importance of getting a good attunement and learning from day one techniques to ground yourself on a daily basis. I find this helps immensely in preventing that “out of sorts” feeling that can occur in some individuals.
I also stress the importance of drinking water to flush out the toxins after all it my job as the vessel to the energy conduction to make sure my students know that despite the fact there is no body manipulation as in massage, it still is the same and toxins from blockages need to flushed out as well.
It’s the students responsibility to find a reputable, traditionally trained reiki master for instruction.
